Description:
IBSS seeks a full-time SharePoint Administrator and Website Developer (Intranet Maintenance Specialist) to support the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the Office of Administrative Services (OAS).
The Office of Director of the Office of Administrative Services (OAS) provides the leadership, policies, programs, services, and systems necessary to meet the administrative support needs of the United States Patent and Trademark Office workforce. This includes designing innovative and effective strategies and policies for a broad range of initiatives in security, safety and health, space and facilities management, IT asset management, and employee and office services.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the OAS SharePoint site administrator to develop pages, improve pages, and set permissions.
Provide ongoing maintenance for existing features on the SharePoint application.
Work with the USPTO data analytics and SharePoint developing team to fix issues during routine maintenance, security patches, and cumulative upgrades.
Gather functional and technical requirements for enhancements and new features.
This will require working with OAS staff and business owners to understand high-level requirements and deadlines and coordinating with the development team to ensure the requirements are appropriate and achievable.
Develop and execute test plans based on requirements documents for unit, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Work knowledge of USPTO-procured web page development and design application tools such as Dreamweaver, Drupal, and MS SharePoint.
Be the point of contact (POC) within OAS for informational content and updates on web pages.
Work with the Website Management Branch (WMB) to ensure that web page materials comply with USPTO web policies, standards, and guidelines.
Provide direct support and problem solving for SharePoint and Power Platform inquiries.
Required Skills /Education/ Certifications & Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in managing and developing pages, setting permissions, and maintaining SharePoint sites.
Knowledge in performing routine maintenance, applying security patches, and handling upgrades on the SharePoint platform
Ability to provide ongoing maintenance and support in SharePoint, Power Platform, and other integrated Microsoft 365 applications.
Problem-solving skills to address SharePoint and Power Platform inquiries
Experience in working with business owners and staff to gather functional and technical requirements for new features and enhancements.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with the development team to meet deadlines and ensure the feasibility of requirements.
Ability to develop and execute test plans (unit, integration, regression, and performance testing) based on requirement documents.
Knowledge of web development tools such as: Dreamweaver, Drupal, and MS SharePoint for USPTO procured web page development and design is highly desirable.
Experience in working with web standards and guidelines as required by USPTO.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of USPTO procured web page development and design application tools such as Dreamweaver, Drupal, and MS SharePoint.
