Responsibilities:
PeopleTec is currently seeking a Software Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.
PeopleTec, Inc. is an employee-owned company dedicated to hiring and developing technology professionals and employing their skillsets on client projects across the United States. We specialize in full stack development, cloud DevSecOps, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Business Intelligence (BI), Data Science, and Machine Learning (ML) in the federal and commercial space. We are currently seeking a mid-level Software Developer/Engineer to support our Huntsville location.
At PeopleTec we will provide access to challenging problems and the freedom to solve them. Our team is seeking an exceptionally motivated, self-starting Software Developer/Engineer to design and implement solutions that interact with a wide array of technologies, including cloud database frameworks, web application interfaces, etc.
Duties:
Support all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle
Understand customer requirements and implement end-to-end solutions to address them
Develop applications that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models
Plan, design, implement, and document integration strategies for existing software systems hosted in a cloud environment
Contribute to unit, integration, and end-to-end tests that support verification and validation of software systems
Investigate, identify, and fix bugs and/or vulnerabilities
Qualifications:
Required Skills/Experience:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must hold or be able to obtain and hold a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Willing to work in Huntsville, AL location
Strong teamwork and organizational skills with an ability to effectively communicate, adapt, multitask, and navigate a complex and rapidly changing environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and make decisions under minimal supervision
Travel: 10 %
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Agile software development under a Scrum framework
Experience with Git, containerized development and deployment (Docker and Kubernetes), and DevSecOps processes
Experience with web development in multiple languages (JS/TS, C#, Python, etc.)
Strong knowledge of REST API development
Knowledge of frontend web technologies such as React, Vue, etc.
