Job Requirements / Description
Our client, a government-sponsored bank, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer.
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Position Type: Contract
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Create and maintain a complete technical documentation library that will serve as reference for the team but will also be used in the future as our team's official training program for new Engineers.
• Configure and install software, servers, routers, Firewalls, and other network devices.
• Monitor network performance and integrity
• Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and on prem infrastructure.
• Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.
• Maintain and support our Network infrastructure (AWS/Azure, VPNs, security groups, Palo Alto FWs, F5 ASM, Aruba wireless.)
• Automation Terraform and/or Ansible experience is desirable.
• Solarwinds monitoring and other features such as NCM and SNOW integrations
• Support other teams and IT areas at the bank with their initiatives and projects.
• Excellent communication skills
