Responsibilities 

DevOps Automation Engineer Intern under the general direction of the Global Enterprise Automation Manager, this position will be responsible for developing solutions to enable developer productivity across the enterprise. The engineer will be tasked with the automation of security and governance controls, implementation, and maintenance of the tools and infrastructure that support the SDLC pipeline and configuration management capabilities. Candidates should have a foundational knowledge of software development and system operations, familiarity with scripting languages (like Python), and an understanding of automation tools (such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform). Experience with version control systems, like Git, is a plus. The intern will work closely with our DevOps team to automate and streamline operations and processes, build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations, and troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments. Interns will not only contribute but also expand their knowledge in state-of-the-art automation technologies.

 

Job Description:

Develop and support the tools and infrastructure that support the SDLC pipeline and configuration management capabilities.

Conduct problem isolation and troubleshooting on the infrastructure and tools owned by the team.

Communicate technical approach and implementation status to stakeholders.

Perform system planning, installation, and upgrades of the tools and infrastructure owned by the team.

Contribute to continuous improvement of the tools and capabilities of the team.

Qualifications:
Qualifications 

Must be a current student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field with at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship. 

Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4-point scale) overall GPA. 

Junior or Senior classification preferred. 

Familiarity with scripting languages (Python).

Understanding of automation tools (such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform).

Experience with version control systems are a plus (GIT).

Strong written and verbal communication skills required. This incumbent will be required to give presentations and communicate with business leaders. 

Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and conceptual skills required.  

Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. 

Must be able to work independently or in a team setting. 

Previous internships are considered a plus.
