Job Description:
The IT Support Desk Technical Specialist provides technical support and training with software and hardware to internal end-user Allied Universal® employees primarily through in-bound phone calls. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide assistance to internal customers on software and hardware issues and questions

Configure and maintain hardware including computers, notebooks, printers, etc.

Provide a positive, friendly and helpful demeanor toward internal clients 

Provide training and documentation for Allied Universal standard and custom applications

Assist with various projects and support as assigned

Maintain network security, user account creation/administration

Assist network operations in maintaining network connectivity

On-call rotation with the other members of the department

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent

Exceptional customer service, communication and problem solving skills

Experience troubleshooting:Operating systems (Windows 2007/2008/2010)

Custom Applications (ERP and CRM)

Familiarity with data communications equipment and software

Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)

Occasional travel is required

Ability to lift and carry computer equipment to 45 lbs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

At least one year of prior Help Desk experience 

Active Directory knowledge and experience

Comp TIA A+, MCP,  MCSE,  MCSA,  MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist), HDI certifications
